Your Guarantee

In addition to your statutory rights (which are not affected by the guarantee) we guarantee that should the engine supplied and fitted by Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist fail solely due to defective materials or faulty workmanship in manufacturing during a period of 6 months from the initial fitting to your vehicle, we will at our option either repair or replace such defects free of charge. This guarantee also applies to engines repaired by Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist.

Running In Procedure

Keep speeds down to 50 m.p.h. I 2,500 r.p.m. for the first 500/600 miles.

Conditions and Limitations of this
Guarantee

  • No warranty work will be undertaken without proof of purchase and relevant service receipts.
  • You MUST have an engine service carried out by Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist at between 500 and 600 miles or 2 months (whichever sooner) after initial engine fitting.
  • This service will be charged for by the Company in accordance with the details supplied by you. These charges may be varied from time to time.
  • The original engine purchase receipt and 500/600 mile service receipt must be produced in the event of any claim.
  • This guarantee will be honoured by Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist only on presentation of your vehicle and relevant receipts at our premises.
  • This guarantee is NOT transferable.
  • Engine failure or damage occurring directly or indirectly as a result of the following: ARE NOT COVERED BY THE GUARANTEE.
    1. Fault or failure of an ancillary component e.g. Radiator, water pumps, temperature switch, water hoses, viscous coupling, fans, relays and fuses, EGR valve, fuel injection system, diesel pump, injectors, dual mass clutch and flywheels, clutches, intercoolers, turbochargers, superchargers, oil coolers, tensioners, pulleys, ancillary belts, coil pack, all electrical components, catalytic converter, particulate filter, Air flow meter, VVT Motor, Vanos units, excepting where the said component has been supplied and fitted by Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist And is still within the guarantee period. (see paragraph 8. )
    2. Fire or Theft.
    3. As a result of being repaired by another garage or individual.
    4. As a result of insufficient lubricant or coolant. It is the responsibility of the Customer/Owner to check levels at regular intervals
    5. As a result of racing/sprinting/ hill climb/track day/motorsport events and speeds over 70mph on any road.
  • Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist will not accept liability for any original ancillary part(s) that fail after work has been completed on the vehicle and the vehicle has left our premises.
  • Any ancillary component (unless otherwise advised) fitted to the vehicle with the consent of the owner is guaranteed for a period of 6 months from the date of initial fitting. This is applicable to all new and reconditioned parts only.
  • No guarantee applies to any ancillary components, new, used, or second-hand supplied by the Owner/Customer to be fitted to the vehicle by Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist
  • Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist will not accept liability for vehicle performance or damage caused as a result of parts being removed from the vehicle by another garage or individual.
  • If any work to the supplied engine is to be undertaken by another garage or individual, then
    prior written authorisation from Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist must be obtained. The company will not entertain claims made for any work not so authorised.
  • Fitted gearboxes are guaranteed for 6 months from the date of initial fitting against defective materials or faulty workmanship in manufacture.
  • In the unlikely event of the vehicle breaking down, it is the customer's responsibility to get the vehicle to our premises at their own cost for inspection. We accept no responsibility for charges incurred to the customer for this purpose.
  • All guarantees are valid on the U.K. mainland only.
  • UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF EARNINGS, CONSEQUENTIAL LOSSES OR VEHICLE HIRE CHARGES WHILST YOUR VEHICLE IS IN OUR WORKSHOP FOR ANY FITIINGS OR REPAIRS WHATSOEVER. THE TIMES GIVEN FOR FITIINGS OR REPAIRS IS TIME ESTIMATED.
  • This guarantee does not cover any performance parts that have been fitted to the engine or gearbox.
  • Jaguar and Land Rover Engine Specialist accept no responsibility if the Engine I Gearbox fails due to non-standard parts being fitted.
  • Any payment outstanding on the original Invoice or Service invoice NOT PAID IN FULL within the agreed time will automatically make this guarantee VOID.
  • Items cover under warranty would be engine block, cylinder head. But inlet manifold, exhaust manifold wiring and sensors are not covered within the warranty as those parts would be used from original factory fitment.
