Land Rover Defender
The ZSD-422 suffers injector failure, EGR valve carbon buildup, turbocharger wear and timing component deterioration at high mileage. The engine is built tough, and proper repair returns that toughness.
Land Rover Discovery 3
Three engines: 276DT TDV6, 406PN V6 petrol and 448PN V8 petrol. The most common 276DT faults are timing chain stretch and EGR valve carbon build-up, causing loss of power and rough running (2004-2009).
