A full JLR diagnostic scan on Land Rover SDD, the same system the dealers use, from reading trouble codes to module programming and live data analysis, all under one roof.
JLR vehicles have dozens of interconnected control modules. A generic OBD scanner picks up surface-level codes, but will not tell you which is the root cause, which are secondary symptoms and which are red herrings.
Active, stored and pending faults all sit in the Jaguar Land Rover ECU, and reading them correctly takes technicians who work on these vehicles daily. We have for more than 20 years, and we know the repeating patterns. A generic tool also cannot perform module programming or ECU recalibration. Our Land Rover SDD software can, which is the difference between finding a software fault and fixing it on the same visit.
We connect through the OBD port and scan the whole vehicle. Codes are interpreted in context, because a code points to a circuit or system, not always the faulty part.

Where the scan points to a mechanical or engine-level fault, we do not hand you a report and send you away. Jaguar and Land Rover engines are rebuilt, reconditioned and replaced in the same workshop.

Many diagnostic visits are freshly bought vehicles, privately or at auction, with warning lights on or faults only vaguely described by the seller. It reads every control module through the OBD port, engine ECU, transmission, ABS, airbag, air suspension and body control, and our technicians retrieve and interpret all active and stored trouble codes.
Sometimes, yes. Fault codes can be stored without a visible warning. If your car runs roughly, loses power or burns more fuel than usual, a health check can reveal faults not yet at the threshold to light the dashboard.
The scan detects the fault. Software problems can be solved the same day by module programming or an ECU reset. Mechanical failures are repaired here, including full engine rebuilds where needed.
Yes. Clearing a code without correcting the fault means it returns. We use live data analysis and fault code reading to find what is actually causing it, including intermittent faults only seen under certain conditions.
No. Using a qualified independent JLR specialist does not affect the manufacturer's warranty under UK consumer law, and we update your service history during the visit.
